Levi Strauss & Co

Levi Strauss & Co. was founded in San Francisco in 1853 by German immigrant Levi Strauss, and twenty years later he and tailor Jacob Davis patented the first riveted denim pant, a garment that would go on to define American workwear and the global uniform of youth culture. The 501 became the foundation of a legacy that has stretched across more than a century and a half of cultural shifts, remaining one of the few originals that never had to reinvent itself to stay relevant.
